Kids at Shelby Alliance Church
Kids are a big part of who we are here at Shelby Alliance Church. Our kid’s ministry will provide your kids with friend groups, fun, hands-on activities, age-appropriate teaching, worship, and more for kiddos from birth through 5th grade. We focus on helping them have fun and feel loved while introducing them to the wonder of God.

Awana
Join us for Awana every Wednesday evening from 5:30–7:30 PM during the school year, where kids can learn about Jesus and the Bible in a safe and interactive environment. Our dedicated teachers use engaging lessons, activities, and games to help kids grow in their understanding of God's love and plan for their lives.
Children’s Church
Kids can worship and learn in a kid-friendly setting during our Children's Church services Sundays at 10am. With age-appropriate music, lessons, and activities, children can encounter Jesus in a way that's relevant and meaningful to them.
Nursery
We’ve curated a safe and serene space for the most vulnerable members of our community. Our nursery is a great place for those 3 years and below.
Special Events
Throughout the year, we host special events and activities for families with kids! From our annual family camp event to quarterly family events. There's always something fun happening for kids at Shelby Alliance Church.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your First Visit
Visiting us for the first time? No fear! Our friendly VIP host will show you where our Kids Check-In is when you arrive. We will meet your family, check your child into class, and answer any questions you may have. We can't wait to meet you!
Safety
Volunteers at Shelby Alliance Church are trained to create an atmosphere where families can confidently leave their children while they are in service. Every volunteer is screened with a background check, attended for minimum of six months, interviewed by ministry leader and an elder, camera surveillance, and the kids hallway is monitored during service. Don't worry parents - we've got this!
What We Teach
We use The Biggest Story curriculum to help kids discover how the stories of the Bible fit together and point to God’s plan of redemption through Jesus.
Through 104 Bible stories, the curriculum explores the big story of Scripture and helps children grow in their understanding of God’s Word.
